It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is upon us, and if you're like me, and don't have kids, there are certain things about the holiday that you get to enjoy that parents don't. Sure, it's awesome to see the kiddos get excited on Christmas morning as they stare in wonderment at the things that Santa left for them under the tree. But, there are certain things that us kidless adults get to look forward to on Christmas morning, too.

    Sleep In

While it's great to wake up with the kids who are way too excited to see what Santa brought them, it's also great to sleep. Christmas is one of the few days of the year when most of us don't have to work. So it's nice to be able to sleep the morning away if you can. It's nice to be able to roll out of bed at your leisure without kids creepily staring at you until you wake up.

Go Out Drinking On Christmas Eve

While the night before Thanksgiving is known as "the biggest bar night of the year", Christmas Eve is generally a pretty low key bar night. I'm guessing that this is due, in part, to people having to wake up early with their kids the next morning. A lot of people are out of town, too, so your neighborhood hole in the wall bar is bound to be relatively quiet. Stop on in and spread some holiday cheer to your favorite bartender!

    Go On A Christmas Vacation

Now, you can go on a Christmas vacation if you have kids, too, but I'm talking about the kind of Christmas vacation that's best enjoyed sans children. Go on a cruise, head on down to Cabo, or take a couple of days to go snow boarding (or hole up in the lodge with a hot toddy).

Binge Watch Whatever You Want On NetFlix

If you don't have kids, there's a good chance that you don't even necessarily have to go to a family gathering on Christmas. If that's the case, you can just pull on your favorite pair of comfy pants, curl up on the couch, and binge watch things on NetFlix to your heart's desire. May I suggest Orange Is The New Black, Raising Hope, or Gossip Girl?

Fulfill Your Entire Christmas Shopping List At A Drug Store

Another upside to Christmas sans kids is that you probably don't have to buy presents for many kids, either. Because of this, it's quite possible that you can get all of the gifts that you need to buy without ever stepping foot in the mall. Did you know that you can get gift cards to almost anywhere at most drug stores? Mom wants a gift card to Macy's? You can get that at the drug store. Want to get dad a gift card to Home Depot? Pick that up at the drug store, too! And while you're there, you can pick up the ingredients for some delicious holiday cocktails.
