2010 ArtPrize Winner Moves Out Of Grand Rapids Art Museum [VIDEO]
How do you move a 28 foot wide pencil drawing? Very carefully.
Chris LaPorte’s “Cavalry” took first place at ArtPrize last year. This morning, it was moved from the Grand Rapids Art Museum where it had been since last year’s competition.
The popular sketch will soon be available for the public to view once again. “Cavalry” will be installed at the new ArtPrize hub at 41 Sheldon and will be on display during this year’s ArtPrize competition.
I can’t wait for ArtPrize to begin next month. Time will tell if the trend of “bigger is better” continues at this year’s competition. I suspect it will.
