According to the Associated Press, one of the couples from the first season of MTV's "16 and Pregnant" has been arrested in Florida.

Joshua Rendon and Ebony Jackson-Rendon, who are now both 19, were charged Tuesday after police searched their house at the Little Rock Air Force Base. The Arkansas Department of Human Services took custody of their 2-year-old, who was born during the taping of the show. Joshua Rendon is a member of the United States Air Force (and they're obviously proud).

The couple is facing several felony charges including maintaining a drug premises and unauthorized use of another's property to facilitate a crime. They're also charged with misdemeanor child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

It looks like Air Force base officials contacted the police who then obtained a warrant for the couple's house. During the search, officers found a gram of synthetic marijuana, empty packaging, and pipes that they say are used to smoke marijuana.

But, that's not all. Turns out that they weren't the best housekeepers. Human and animal feces were found on the floors and walls in every room in the house, and animal control officers took away three dogs that were kept inside. The icing on the cake (though I hate to use that phrase when saying this), is that the house was also full of flies and maggots.

I've never been a huge fan of the show, which seems to be filled with people who eventually have some sort of legal issue. You can't even check out at the grocery store without reading a headline about one of the moms. Then there's the fact that the show kind of glamorizes teenage pregnancy (though, it does also show how rough it is on the young mothers).

Then again, whenever I run across a "16 and Pregnant" marathon I can't stop watching it.
